Get American Red Cross Certified at HAC


The American Red Cross Lifeguarding Program is a 2-year certification for anyone ages 15 to adult. This course will provide entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.

 

Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/Professional CPR/AED, valid for 2 years. Please refer to the Need to Know flyer (below) for additional information. 


If you’re already a lifeguard, we also offer re-certification courses in 1.5-day session format.

Dates and Times

Certification will consist of at-home Blended learning and 2.5 days at the facility. 


Class Times: Fridays 6:00 - 8:00 pm; Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 am - 4:00 pm


Upcoming Sessions: 

  • December 13 - 15, 2024

Certification will consist of at-home Blended learning and 1.5 days at the facility. In order to register for the re-certification, proof of current certification (not expired) must be provided upon registration.
