Buy a Flag, Help a Vet in Need
Hockessin Athletic Club is selling flags that will be used to line our drive on Veteran’s Day in memory of those who have bravely served. Each flag purchased is hand-tagged, and donors have the option to feature a short message on the tag of every flag purchased. Together, we've raised over $200,000 for veterans' causes through the HAC Salutes campaign. Help us raise an additional $25,000 in 2024.
Our annual HAC Salutes campaign is held to honor our veterans and families of those who served.
It costs approximately $1,000 to furnish an apartment for a homeless veteran. The VA is able to provide housing assistance for veterans, however, those apartments come completely bare - no pots and pans, no furniture, no utensils, no shower curtain. Beds4Vets is a 501(c)3 organization that furnishes the apartment for the veteran, greatly reducing the risk of the veteran returning to homelessness out of frustration or necessity. Learn more at Beds4Vets.org. All monies raised through the HAC Salutes Campaign will go to Beds4Vets and support veterans in need.
